The Cherry Valley Village Board
The Village Board is responsible for operating the village public works department, the care of the Cherry Valley Cemetery, enacting and enforcing village ordinances and setting village tax rates.
The Mayor is elected chief executive officer and has the authority to preside at the meetings of the board of trustees. The Mayor has the power to appoint all department heads and non-elected officers and employees, while the approval of the board of trustees is required. The grant of authority give to the mayor pursuant to the Village Law is to issue all licenses and has the power to perform marriages.

NOTE: Change of meeting dates: January’s meeting will change to Tuesday, Jan. 17 at 7 p.m. in observance of Martin Luther King Day on Monday. February’s meeting will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 21 at 7 p.m. due to President’s Day falling on the third Monday.

The Planning Board is appointed (non-salaried) and consists of seven members serving a term of seven years.
The Cherry Valley Village Planning Board is currently working on updating the "Master Plan" for the village. Contact a member for more information and meetings times and place.
The Cherry Valley Town Board
The Town Board is responsible for maintaining highways and streets of the town of Cherry Valley, is responsible for the Board of Health, the Cherry Valley Health Center and oversees the Town of Cherry Valley.
